Life Sciences and Technology (LS&T) is a unique collaboration between NHL University of Applied Sciences and Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden. Students get to use the facilities of both schools. The extensive study programme focuses on the field of applied technology and applied science, in which living organisms and chemical processes play an important role. Life Sciences and Technology works in close collaboration with the business community, consumers, research institutes and the authorities. Therefore it's easy for students to find work placements or to do practically orientated research.
The competence based and personal classes take place in the Van Hall Larenstein school building. The LS&T study programme offers a wide range of possibilities, and allows students to make their own choices. Professorships of Van Hall Larenstein form a link between educational institutes and the business community, authorities, other institutes and knowledge partners, which can lead to interesting research assignments for students. Combined efforts of professors, students and the business community, can often lead to new, innovative ideas. Because students look towards the future!
